Grandma

I think it is only a matter of time till I give a tribute to a special person in my life. I think that i owe this person a ton. So here is my tribute to my Grandmother. Is there anybody else in the world as strong as she is? I could go on and on about how much she has taught me. If there is anyone that could tell you about overcoming large obstacles, it would be her.

My Grandma is someone who never thinks of herself. Ever. Even if helping someone else takes up so much of her time or even if it causes her some pain. I can't tell you how many times we have had to tell her to "SIT DOWN! And let us handle it". :) haha.

My Grandma is someone who is strong in spirit and mind. You'll always see her with her nose in her worn out scriptures or a book written by Prophets.

My Grandma is someone who is always smiling. Even if she is in pain. If someone walks into the room, she will always put on a big grin to let you know that everything is okay. Even if it's not. She is the Greatest example of JOY.

If you want to watch a movie or even a sports game with someone who will make everything interesting.. and well.. :) funny.. watch it with my grandma. I love it when she watches Basketball. She is so encouraging to the players.. even though they cant hear her she lets them know that they did a great shot and to keep trying. :). If I was a pro sports player I'd love to have her in the front row at all of my games, cheering me on. I'd probably play 100% better. :). I wouldn't be able to stop looking over at her. I would only be able to laugh. :)

If you ever come over.. She will probably ask you to share a talent. Whether it is a musical instrument, something you've drawn, show her anything and she will enjoy it. haha. She will be cheering and singing along, even if your "talent" sounds or looks like a bunch of crap. :)

Card games. Haha. Wow do we have fun! Hate to say it Grandma but its like playing in an old folks home.. :). (forgive me..) but it is so much fun!! You have to explain the rules every time we play Rummie (and every other game). Even though she has played it about a million times. (just make sure you explain it well and that she understands the rules.. very clearly or you might have some problems.) :) . She'll even pray at dinner that we will play fair. But I guess that's a good thing :). haha!

"WHERE'S THE SUGAR? :)"...(long story...)

Even though she may have lost her best friend and companion.. she will still be strong. She will see him again. After all, families are forever.

I'll see him again. Good old Grandpa.

Even though it may be tough for her sometimes...I know that she will make it through.. well.. because she's Grandma.

I love you Grandma.. Thank you for all that you have done and the example that you show me and everyone around you. Life wouldn't be the same with out you. Love you. JOY!

Conducting with a Chip

I have to say.. My nephew is probably the best little conductor on the planet! He gets it from his dad. Plus whats better than a chip as a baton!?
